Batch resize your images in Bridge

image processorDid you know you can Batch re-size your images in Bridge!

Let’s say you have a folder contains 4 images of 3000×2000 pixels (Landscape) and 2 images of 3000×4000 (Portrait) and you want to re-size them.

1. Open the folder contents in Adobe Bridge

2. Right click on any image and select: Sort > By Dimensions, this will sort the images according to their aspect ratio and dimensions

3. Now select the 4 Landscape images and choose: Photoshop > Tools > Image processor from the menu

4. The image processor window will pop up, click on “Re size to fit” and enter the new dimensions (width and height). When ready, click OK.
The script runs but will not overwrite the original images, instead, it will create a new folder and place the images within, you can specify the location of this folder in the image processor window.

5. Then select the 2 portrait images and run image processor again, enter the new dimensions and hit OK… as easy as that!!

ALSO, I HAVE NOTICED, A FRIEND OF MINE USED TO SHOOT RAW + JPG, WELL, YOU DON’T HAVE TO IF YOU DON’T WANT TO!
BECAUSE YOU CAN ALWAYS CONVERT THEM IN TO JPG IF YOU THINK RAW IMAGES DON’T NEED ANY WORK DOING, SIMPLY GO TO BRIDGE THEN…

1. Select the images you want to convert, then from the Menu bar..
2. Select Tools > Photoshop > Image Processor (which will open the pop up box as shown above) Select the file type(s) you want then hit OK. Done!
You can convert in Jpg, Tiff and Psd or all 3.
